IXD T-Shirt Design

Overview

This is the design and design process of the Sheridan Interaction Design 2022 Orientation shirt I was commissioned to create.

The coordinator of the program reached out to me to create the shirt over the summer because they were confident in my skills in graphic design and typography, and knew I would get it done on time and in such short notice- with the time frame only being 6 hours.

Original Shirt and Thoughts

Overview

The original Interaction Design Orientation shirt only had white and orange text on a black shirt. Although that got the point across, my goal was to also add a unique graphic to it and make more visual interest with typography.

Speed Process

The process of making unique graphics and typography for the shirt.
Colour variations of the shirt- going from ideas for white shirts, black shirts, and coral blue shirts.
Although I was not part of the of the final say in where the logo goes, I was using some placement process when working on the designs and testing out colours.

Chosen Design

Reflection

In the end, the coordinator of the Orientation event chose the orange, white and blue shirt design. This was because the Orientation was during the summer (so it would have been hot) and because it incorporated the school main colours and secondary colours (Sheridan school colours are orange and blue).
